LOOK OUT FOR THESE AUTUMN TRENDS!

SPOOKY SEASON BABY!

Now we all know fall is just around the corner. Summer was cute n fun, but it’s time to bring out your faithful faux fur coat. Here are some trends that you should be on the look out for this fall season, according to yours truly.  

Trend 1: funky boots. Not only are they practical, but they really give your outfit an edge that takes your look to the next level. Try and find a boot with chunky platforms or heels; get something that you wouldn’t usually wear. Step out side your comfort zone! 

Trend 2: Cream, brown, and mauve basics. I have a feeling that we are going to be seeing a lot of basics in the brown and cream family. These colors just give you that warm home feeling. I recommend 1 cream or brown fitted tee, and/or a staple purse that’s in the brown family. 

Trend 3: How much leather can you wear?? 

The more leather or faux leather the better. Especially living in NYC, you are going to want to invest in some quality leather pieces. A fun leather trench coat or a fun pair of leather pants. Try to find your leather staples in different colors. I suggest a bright red, or even a plum color for your leather coat. But with your leather pants, go wild. Hot pink! Bright blue! Crisp white! You can never go wrong with a statement pant in a wild color. Just make sure if your pants are a bit wild, that the rest of your outfit is a little tame. You don’t want to stop traffic in a bad way. 

Trend 4: 2000’s accessories! 

The 2000s is hands down my favorite era ever, and seeing the fashion trends reemerge in the recent years puts a smile on my face. With that being said, butterfly clips, tiny clips, and the classic mom clip is something you should definitely be hopping on. Head scarfs, bandanas, and trucker hats if you are really committed. Simple but sparkly earrings & bracelets with a mix of more masculine jewelry such as a leather cuff bracelet, or a thick belt. I feel like the 2000s trend is all about mixing feminine shiny pieces with masculine pieces for the perfect mix. Depop has a great variety of these type of accessories - you can even find some one of a kind gems that no one else has. 

Ps. I want to bring back feathers in our hair for added effect!! 

Trend 5: the tiny hand bag 

This last tip is probably the most impractical, but definitely something that you should be on the look out for. Doesn’t matter if it’s a big label designer or something you found at your local thrift. Find a micro hand bag, the smaller the better. You should only be able to fit your credit card, keys, and maybe your phone in this bag. There’s something about it’s impracticality that makes it a must have for the upcoming season.
